  1. Hi there. I am interested in learning restorative yoga. Is one of your classes more like this type of yoga than the others? Thanks

    • Hello Claire,
What do you hope to get from your restorative practice? Do you know much about these practices? I’m asking because there are different restorative approaches to take and different ways to answer your question.
Our gentlest class is Traditional Hatha Yoga (please see the timetable page for a description). I find it to be gentle, serene and restorative in many ways. It is very breath focussed and low impact physically.
I hope this is helpful! Namaste, Rhys

  2. Dear Rhys, I had the pleasure of dropping into your Wednesday Vinyasa class. What a treat! Thank you for the wonderful space /sequence you manifested. I’ll be back! Katerina

  3. Hi Guys I have been given advice by the coach of my running club the yoga would be good for the scoliosis in my spine that is bugging me big time and causing enough pain to slow me down, and requiring a reasonable amount of pain control. I understand that yoga would work on my alignment. As I want to continue with my sport for as long as I can, I would welcome your advice.

    • Dear Kate,
A balanced yoga practice works into all of the major functional directions of movement, emphasising long and strong muscles to support balanced function (flexibility and strength). I have seen the practice bring relief to people with a scoliosis – often in tandem with a manipulative therapy. I’ll email you further about this issue Kate. Namaste, Rhys

  4. Hi team, just wondering if you are currently running your Mac Bay classes? and if these (or any of your other classes) would be suitable for someone who is a beginner, and 15 weeks pregnant… thanks 🙂

    • Kia ora Susan, Rhys here – yes the Macandrew Bay classes are currently running 7-8:30 at the school, $15 casual. You would be most welcome – please come a few minutes early so I can discuss some modifications with you. Namaste, Rhys

  5. Hi there, I am moving to Dunedin next week and looking for a new yoga studio to practice at. Could you tell me if any your vinyasa classes are heated?
    Thanks 🙂

  6. Hi I have just purchased your Grab one deal..:) very exited.. I am looking at doing the 2 weeks around the week beginning 18th January. The vouchers says email redemption essential??
Whats the next step.. thanks heaps

    • Dear Samantha,
Rhys here – thank you for making contact. Just turn up 10 minutes early on your first class so we can meet and fill in our 1 page form. I look forward to meeting you! Namaste, Rhys

  7. Hey how are you 🙂
I’m arriving in Dunedin on Thursday evening and would love to come to the yoga class on friday already if that is possible?! I live just 10 Minutes walking distance away from the studio. So I was checking how much the monthly pass would cost but I couldn’t find out anything. Can you give me some information about that? Would like to come at least three days a week.
Thank you very much in advance.
    Stef

    • Kia ora Stef, Rhys here. You’re welcome to come to the Friday class. The prices page is in a drop-down menu from the “Timetable:” tab. (Sometimes it’s hard to see from a mobile). We update our prices from Monday next week but on Friday a month will still cost $100. Namaste, Rhys

  8. Hi there

I am interested on doing your beginners class course . Is there any space available in the next up coming course?

    Kind regards
    Nina

    • Hello Martina, Rhys here. Yes we can do a private session for two beginners or you could come along to a gentle public class. I’ll email you directly and get more info on what you’re looking for. Namaste, Rhys

    • Kia ora Katie – not strict primary series. Although Jessica’s first practice for many years was Ashtanga and she teaches a mainly primary series in her Friday night “Vinyasa Flow”. Our master teacher Nicky Knoff studied under Pattabhi Jois as well as Iyengar. Namaste, Rhys

    • Dear Rose, My neices sometimes join our class since they were younger than 12. Options for your daughters would be to take our Beginners’ Course starting on the 14th of January or to just come and try a few classes from our regular schedule (We start classes from this Monday the 9th – they might like the lunchtime “Vinyasa Express” classes). Feel free to ask with any other questions. Namaste, Rhys Latton.
